Debt Management will host a webinar workshop on Litigation Referrals within the debt collection guidelines. It will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 9:00 – 10:00 am EDT. This session is being offered to federal employees who were unable to attend our 2018 Annual Government-wide Federal Receivables Management Symposium.
The webinar is the same as the on-site session at that event, so there is no need to participate if you attended that session. There is no charge for this training.
This webinar will provide a brief overview of the process for referring debts to the Department of Justice (DOJ) It will cover the benefits of DOJ referral, types of debts eligible for referral, documentation needed for litigating cases, and examples of how agencies can assist in the process. Information about the Fiscal Service/DOJ Pilot Program will also be discussed.
