Accessibility
This course has been developed to be accessible to all users. For those using Assistive Technology, all areas of this course are keyboard enabled.
Screen reader users may simply tab to each section of the module to access its contents. In addition, the following JAWS keystrokes will be helpful when navigating this course:
- UP ARROW - move to and read the previous line
- DOWN ARROW - move to and read the next line
- INSERT+UP ARROW - read the current line
- Next Link - TAB
- Prior Link - SHIFT+TAB
- Open Link - ENTER
- Go to the Next Page - ALT+N (some browsers require a second attempt)
- Go to Previous Page - ALT+B
- CTRL+TAB - Enter Flash Animation
For Flash interactions, JAWS users need to use the Tab key to move to a selection and use the Enter key to read its description.
For Knowledge Check Questions and Flash interactions, JAWS users need to use the arrow down key to access question feedback and additional information in the Flash interactions.
When using Speech recognition software, such as Dragon Naturally Speaking, buttons are accessible using default Dragon commands.
When videos or animations are present, an Audio Transcript and Text Description are available via the Text Description of Image or Animation link. Additionally, Closed Captioning of the video is provided, and can be toggled on and off via the CC button.
