Secure Payment System (SPS) is used by federal government agencies to securely create, certify, and submit payments to the Fiscal Service.

A strictly enforced separation of duties is maintained by setting up two users with different responsibilities.

SPS uses Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) technology for authentication and integrity.
