Military Meal Checks Program (MMC)

Overview

The Military Meal Checks program (MMC) allows for the 65 Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS) to issue meal checks to new military enlistees for purchasing meals while traveling from the MEPS to their assigned recruit training location.

How it Works

The enlistee is given a check or checks with printed limits on each check for breakfast ($7.00), lunch ($11.00) or dinner ($23.00).

In FY19 MEPS issued 224,000 checks that provided the enlistees access to food vendors.

Benefits

The program gives the recruit assurance that their meals will be provided during the journey to the training location.
