Debt Management Services (DMS) will host a webinar workshop on Due Process on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. EDT. This session is being offered to federal employees who were unable to attend our 2018 Annual Governmentwide Federal Receivables Management Symposium. The webinar is the same as the on-site session at that event, so there is no need to participate if you attended that session. There is no charge for this training.
This webinar will provide a broad overview of due process issues in the debt collection area and is for federal employees who assist their agencies in identifying, establishing, and collecting receivables owed to the United States. It will cover basic notice requirements, how to respond to different types of debtor disputes, best practices, and common mistakes to avoid. The session assumes that the participants have a basic understanding of the debt collection process.
