This training is for those interested in the process, requirements and policies of the Administrative Wage Garnishment Program. Administrative Wage Garnishment (AWG) is a debt collection tool that allows a federal agency to order a non-federal employer to withhold up to 15 percent of an employee's disposable income to pay a nontax delinquent debt owed to the agency.

All federal agencies are required to participate in AWG through the Debt Management Cross-Servicing program. Federal agencies must publish AWG regulations and set up hearing procedures before they are eligible to participate in the AWG program.

Debt Management also offers hearing services on behalf of federal agencies. This workshop will provide an overview of these policies, along with other information about the program.

Debt Management will send out webinar sign-on access and handout information in the week before the webinar date.
